Roman remains: Villa Fortunatus

For lovers of history and archaeological remains there is the possibility of visiting the fortunatus villa in Fraga.

It is a Roman villa built in the second century and with successive extensions in III and IV. It is a villa of great dimensions and riches of decoration. One of the interesting findings of the villa is a mosaic present in one of its rooms with the inscription with the owner's name. Other mosaics represent a calendar to the Roman way of which six months are conserved, diverse deities like Venus, Eros and Psiqué and some Christian reasons like the crismón. The aquarium is decorated with marine motifs.
