Ballobar - Camino Viejo to Ontiñena (section GR261) - Cañada to Villanueva de Sigena - Monastery of Sigena - Sena - Bco del Sabinal - Planas de Presiñena - Ermita San Miguel de Castejon de Monegros (Sierra de Jubiere) - backwards.

 ± 74km / 450m accumulated drop track

The route we propose is to follow the Alcanadre River through the municipalities of Ontiñena, Villanueva de Sigena, Sena and Castejon de Monegros, with the final goal of reaching the Ermita de San Miguel, already in the Sierra de Jubierre. Next to this point you can continue to the Tozal de la Cobeta

In principle, it is a rolling route without great unevenness. It is necessary to highlight the passage along the path next to the Alcanadre, there are some small troughs between Ontiñena and Villanueva de Sigena which are followed by long and gentle slopes to reach the Castejon irrigation plan through the Barranco del Sabinal.

During the tour you can visit the Sigena Monastery. During the tour several of the bridges that cross the Alcanadre River are passed, the Roman Ballobar bridge is one of them, the Ontiñena bridge with its characteristic arches, and the new one of Villanueva de Sigena next to the beautiful remains of the Roman bridge and the from the track of Castejon de Monegros. If you have time, it is worth visiting the iron bridge of the asphalt track that goes up from Villanueva de Sigena to Pilón, where you can make the return trip so as not to repeat the route.
